The Use of OSIS in the Retail Industry

With OSIS we can offer pre-prepared solutions for the data exchange between the retail business and its suppliers, branches, warehouses and the logistic management of the transport companies.

The fundamental business processes with the suppliers are the order and delivery workflows making the product and price information available. The messages include orders, order changes, stock call-up orders, advice notes and acknowledgements following on to confirmations, invoices and payment confirmations. The branches register the sales and receive deliveries. The warehouses commission the goods and deliver to the branches on request as well as receiving deliveries to replenish their stock. The transport management companies organise and carry out the transport of the goods.

The message packet contains, among other messages, the EDIFACT-messages relevant to the retail business for example DELFOR, DESADV, IFTMIN, IFTSTA, INSDES, INVOIC, INVRPT, ORDCHG, ORDERS, ORDRSP, PRODAT, PRICAT, RECADV, REMADV, SLSRPT. If the retailer´s main system is SAP, OSIS has ready prepared solutions for the interface covering a wide range of ready configured IDOC messages for R/3 Inbound and R/3 Outbound.

Where necessary OSIS can be individually configured with relatively low costs and in short time periods to create interfaces for any internal or external systems in addition to the standard solutions mentioned above.
