The Use of OSIS in the Transport Industry

In your role as transport company we can offer you pre-prepared solutions for the auromated EDI-data exchange with your customers via standardised EDIFACT messages.

With OSIS, we close the gap between the prepared a href="osis5.htm">EDIFACT messages and the individual interfaces of your internal application system. If we find that we have no interface solution for a given application system we (or you) can configure it at low cost and in a short time period via the configuration of OSIS, in other words without programming.

This procedure offers the basis for a fast development of your company into the roll as Multi Transport Operator. With standardised EDI connections in the intermodal transport business we have prepared solutions for the data exchange with shippers and receivers (industry, retail), shipping and receiving forwarders, rail/road/ship haulage companies, transhipment companies, public authorities and the central communication systems in Bremen / Bremerhaven (dbh Logistics IT AG) and Hamburg (DAKOSY AG).

The massage packet contains the basic version of the EDIFACT Messages IFTMIN, IFTSTA, IFCSUM und INVOIC. It can be extended to cover further EDIFACT message types, for example IFTMBP, IFTMCS, IFTDGN, REMADV, COREOR, CODECO, also messages like DESADV that don´t generally interest the transport company.
