The Use of OSIS in the Procedure for Funding with the KfW Bank Group

For central institutions or directly linked banks in the procedure for funding business, the KfW Bank Group offers the possibility of carrying out standardised business transactions electronically. At present the KfW offers the procedures for the electronic sending or receiving of: loan applications, decisions, call-ups, payments, interest extensions, APL-repayments and all the relevant receipts.

The KfW integration server can provide support for any banks that have their own applications, for example for entering application data or call-up data, and that require a solution for generating and transmitting the necessary message types.

The KfW integration server has a special OSIS (Open System Integration Server) configuration. The prepared EDIFACT Message types are, for example ORDERS, CONTRL, BANSTA, ORDRSP, PAYORD, REMADV, QUOTES. On the internal side to the bank an interface has been configured to the standard software "safir-BeDarV (Beleglose Darlehens Verarbeitung)" from the VÖB-Service GmbH. Additionally OSIS can be individually configured with relatively low costs and in short time periods to create interfaces for any internal or external systems.

The KfW integration server is used in various Sparkassen and financial institutes, for example, Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale, München, Bayerische Landesbodenkreditanstalt, München, Deutsche Industriebank AG, Düsseldorf, Investitions Bank Hessen, Wiesbaden, Investitions-Bank NRW (central system for WestLB), Düsseldorf, L-Bank, Karlsruhe, Saarländische Investitionskreditbank AG, Saarbrücken, Sächsische Aufbaubank GmbH, Dresden.
