Components for the OSIS Communication
The OSIS components for communication can be selected and put together according to the requirements. Here are some
examples:
-
The controlling of protocols and the connection to servers for the file transfer between OSIS and
application systems, i.e. via TCP/IP with ftp, sftp, scp, rcp or via FT/FTAM, for the connection to the EDI interface from SAP/R3,
for access to the MS/Exchange-Servers and E-Mail-Servers in the Intranet and Internet,
-
The setting up of file transfers between OSIS and external partners via ISDN or the internet, i.e. for
the point-to-point connection via OFTP, or for the access to the Telebox400 (User Agent),
-
The point-to-point connection with external partners via the internet using the protocol AS2.
-
The communication with external partners via VAN´s i.e. IBM Global Ser-vices, GE Information Services,
Sterling Commerce-VAN,
-
The access from OSIS to databases, for example ORACLE, INGRES, MS SQL-Server, ADABAS, DB2,
-
The programme-programme-communication between OSIS and the application system, for example for the
receiving and sending of messages via a MQSeries server, or via the RFC the ALE- of the BAPI interface from SAP R/3.
OSIS is NetWeaver certified,
-
The synchronised integration of OSIS in an external programme or the integration of an external
programme in the OSIS message conversion.
At the level of communication and system integration alone OSIS can be used as a protocol adaptor for the transfer of data
via different protocols, for exam-ple from SAP ALE to TCP/IP FTP, or from MQ-Series to E-mail etc.
