In order to prevent the disruption of business processes due to the receipt of erroneous data it is necessary to identify this data right at the beginning of the process chain and separate it from the main data flow. The erroneous data can then be handled appropriately.
The LS GmbH offer a module to carry out quality checks for inbound data. This module can be used supplementary to the existing EDI and integration solution in you company.
Module for ‚Checking Syntax and Structure’ :
For example the syntax of inbound EDIFACT messages can be checked for compliance against the segment directory of the respective EDIFACT version and message type. The structure of the message can also be checked against the format structure agreed between the two partners.
Module for ‚Checking Business Logic’ :
Rules can be created to check the ‚Business Logic’ of inbound messages. The following checks, for example, can than be carried out on all inbound messages:
- whether a mandatory field is filled,
- whether the field has a specific content,
- whether the content of the field complies with the specified content for the element… etc.
If errors are detected in the message due to non-compliance of the syntax, structure or the business logic a protocol is generated that can automatically be sent to the message sender. This protocol can be sent in various languages according to the message sender.
A ‚QualityCheck Monitor’ is available via which the system operator can view all incoming messages and of course all erroneous messages with their respective error-protocols.
