The OSIS-Business-Integration-Platform

The third OSIS-Layer (mapping) fulfils the requirements for the processing and translating of data and messages. The flexible sequencing of the OSIS-Application-Modules at this level enables the automatic data exchange between incompatible application systems. A completely adaptable customising method is used that is dependant upon the branch or individual application.

The integration of complex business processes often requires more than just the integration of interfaces between the respective applications. An entity is required that presents the complete picture, continually controlling and monitoring the interactions between the application systems.

By using the extended OSIS technology, these requirements can be achieved. A fourth level, the OSIS-Business-Integration-Platform can be customised to suit the relevant application. Using a (partly) browser based GUI, the parameters that control the running of the OSIS processes in the OSIS-layer below, can be predetermined. Depending upon the process procedure, data in the application system can be received and combined to form messages that are then transmitted according to the required destination; additionally whole process is under observation from the monitoring GUI. All processes can of course also be carried out in the other direction. Business processes that consist of several messages can thus be handled in this way enabling the control and monitoring of the complete procedure. When an automated process alone is not sufficient, a user interface can be created to enable an event controlled interaction with the business process.

With this technology OSIS can support the creation of a service orientate architecture (SOA) for the integration of all IT-environments and between businesses.
