Mastering the specific requirements of the branches transport and logistic

OSIS is applicable to all businesses in the transport and logistic branch – from trucking and shipping companies and rail transport companies to container terminals and dispatch warehouses.

We know that these companies are characterised by the large number of external communications.  OSIS has been set up accordingly so that the specific requirements of the operations – i.e. in government authorities, terminals, warehouses, transport companies, ship/train/truck etc. are taken into account. The interaction between your company and the external partners must legally and reliably facilitate the transportation of goods – by supporting the rapid inter-company flow of information without delays.

This industry predominantly uses international EDIFACT standards to support the varying business processes. Internally the interfaces are generally to database applications (terminal management systems and warehouse systems). Furthermore a growing number of XML data is being used for the communication with web services/web applications. All these formats are networked via OSIS.

And: Of course you can also use OSIS in your transport and logistics companies for the classical EDI messages, orders, invoices etc.
